SHORT GETAWAY TO BALEKAMBANG BEACH

We packed our bags to a short getaway on last long weekend. We left for Balekambang Beach at the south of Malang at around 7 early morning, stopped by at "Nyamleng" to have breakfast and heading to Malang.

I have searched through the internet of how beautiful beaches along the south Java sea shore, and found out that Balekambang has the most easiest way to reach out. The Hindu pura Ismoyo on the Ismoyo Island is another fascinating thing to visit and of course a very picturesque spot.

Here are some of our snapshot. Enjoy!

SUNDAY BRUNCH - TIME WELL SPENT

Its Sunday! Everyone has a favorite place when it comes to relishing a spot of Sunday lunch (or brunch?). I choose to spend my time taking pictures, enjoy the live music and remarkable meals on Sunday brunch. In Sheraton Bandung the list of favorites is so varied you could treat yourself to a great & remarkable of Sunday brunch in some very unique settings.

Frankly speaking, I am not that satisfied with the results of my photo taking, not so happy with the colors, retouched here and there to have them vivid and "alive", angle (even that I struggling to really take just & good shots from the right angles), but somehow I certainly enjoy my food and a time well spent with my dear friend Roberto. Hope next week in a better mood I would take better pictures. Finger crossed :)

SUNDAY STROLL

Its a clear and beautiful Sunday that previously we were about to go to Dago CFD (Car Free Day) but we're just too lazy to walk, since we've already decided to go to church for evening Sunday Service, so what to do in this morning?

The idea of having breakfast at Bubur Ayam Mang Bo'im was one of the things, then what? We grab a cab, and here we are taking stroll at Taman Hutan Raya Djuanda.

Its not too far away from the place we live, it took 15 minutes, and tra raaaaaa ...... jalan-jalan, hawa nya masih dingin banget and here are few of our snapshots. Me, and my beloved stroll companion

Happy Sunday everyone .......

NEW YEAR EVE PARTY

Sometimes it feels like there are so many things we can't control, earthquakes, floods, plane crash, even falling in love. But it's important to remember the things we can, like forgiveness, second chances, fresh starts.

Its because one thing that turns the world from a lonely place to a beautiful place, is LOVE. Love in any of its forms. Love gives us hope, hope for the New Year, and courage to take a leap in FAITH. That's New Year's Eve to me. HOPE, and a great party.

Happy new year everyone, have a great 2015!!

ONE MORNING AT TEBING KERATON

TEBING KERATON - A breathtaking panoramic view in Bandung.

A cliff situated in north of Bandung that has recently become a popular destination for its magnificent view, especially on Instagram. The panoramic scenes are most beautiful captured when sunrise and sunset

Not many people know about Tebing Keraton until it was posted in Instagram and Youtube, and it was intrigued us as well as raises curiosity yet excitement to enjoy the view of newly found panoramic spot in Bandung which is not far away from our work place in Dago.

One fine Friday of September 12 2014, we were ready in front of lobby at 5am, blanketing ourselves in sweaters and jackets and left for Tebing Keraton. We went through steep and bumpy road, in a thick foggy Dago area headed to Taman Hutan Raya Juanda and to Ciburial, to 1700 meters above sea level, Tebing Keraton

Here is our morning at Tebing Keraton, taking pictures including selfie (of course), the trip was ended by a delicious Bubur Ayam breakfast at “Bubur Mang Boim”, and we’re back to office for Morning Briefing.

MY FIRST CAMERA - A LOOK BACK

My Mom got me my first camera when I was 10 years old, and it was Prima 35, analog camera used rolled film and had to go through manual printing process. I had been through funny experience using that camera, I had to learn to set rolled film to the camera and sometimes I went wrong by putting it backward, and of course after being in process then I could not see any pictures were recorded ha ha haaa ….

Besides learning to focus and getting good pictures, I had to keep on looking counting button which was showing of how many film that I had used, and if there are still many of interesting objects to capture, and the film reservation is limited then I have to make sure there were still film available to shoot that scene or moments. Not to mention that I had to set the flash/ blitz when shooting in night time or in low light, flash was not integrated with camera body, and the battery …. It used AA battery. Google helped me to find out that Prima 35 was made in Spain, and its pretty good camera, all manual so its all good for me to learn photography at the first stage

People says that life is like a camera, focus on what important, capture good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don't turn out, take a another shot.

MERCY ME - KEEP THE HEART OF WORSHIP

We sing this at our church.

The reason so many young people turned off to Christianity is that they think it is for "old" people and there is no fun or joy in Christianity. No doubt there is a type of dancing that is shameful, but this is not.

This is a video of God's people saying they are not ashamed that they have been changed. I didn't see anything sexual about this video. Loosen up and remember that God's people are allowed to have fun. When I listen to this song I can't help but dance.

Some people can sing well, some people play instruments, some people dance. Who cares what it is, if you are good at it or not, if it is done with the heart of worship, then that is what it should be looked at. Praise The Lord!!

All the glory for The Lord. Keep the heart of worship. Happy Sunday, Good people!

MARRIAGE IS A DAILY LIFE

Before I continue writing, forgive me for the title of this post that may sounds like it understates the meaning of marriage. NO! It is not ...
